Internship Opportunities

 

Education Internship Fall 2011
2 half-days per week (negotiable) to include some Saturdays

 

Duties: Intern will work closely with the Director of Education on upcoming programs during the museum's busy fall education schedule, which includes the programs for the finale of a yearlong Centennial celebration. Duties will include opportunities to get involved in day-to-day operations, including working with the general public, groups, and volunteers, and experience working on a variety of educational programs from planning and organizational stages, to publicity, purchasing and prepping program supplies, set-up, oversight of portions of programs (when appropriate), and program wrap-up.  

 

Qualifications: Interest in museum education and working with the public, children to adults. Intern should be self-motivated, flexible, and resourceful, capable of working independently and on a team. Strong communication and organizational skills needed. Must have standard office computer skills. An interest in history and/or the decorative arts a plus.
