Volunteer Opportunities

 Come grow with us! Volunteers provide essential support for big events like the Annual Gala and seasonal Family Days. Volunteers are also key participants in everyday activities, such as shopkeeping, docent tours, and administrative tasks like mailings.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION MEETING 

Thursday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Learn all about volunteering opportunities at the Stickley Museum at this informal meeting on Wed., June 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Education Building. For information to or to RSVP, call 973-540-0311 or email education@stickleymuseum.org.

 

STICKLEY SEMINAR: DOCENT TRAINING COURSE

Starting Saturday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m.

This free docent training seminar, to be held on five Saturday mornings throughout the summer, beginning on Sat., June 25, will prepare potential docents to give tours starting in the fall. Anyone interested in taking the Seminar should plan to be at the June 1 meeting (see above) or should contact the museum for more information at 973-540-0311 or email education@stickleymuseum.org  

 

Volunteer Jobs

By joining our "family" of volunteers, you'll enjoy opportunties to share your special talents and skills, make new friends, and spend time doing meaningful work to support The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms. A variety of jobs, with flexible hours to accomodate busy schedules, are available.

 

Administrative Help


Help with office work such as computer data entry, envelope stuffing, and filing. Help is needed on a weekly basis. Hours and type of work are flexible.

 

Children's Programming

Help instructors of day camps, workshops, Girl Scout events, etc. Work one-on-one with children and help with set-up and clean-up. Teens are welcome.

 Development, Fundraising, Special Events

Work on cultivation and fundraising events like the annual gala. Help sell program listings to local businesses.

 

General Educational Programming

Provide assistance for educational programs like lectures, special tours, and Family Days.

 Museum Docent

Give tours of The Stickley Museum to the general public and visiting groups. Training is provided. Docents interested in working with children are especially needed.

 Museum Store

Handle transactions, assist customers in front and behind the sales desk, help maintain inventory, and other miscellaneous shop duties.
