Description
Although the Chest of Drawers (no. 913) was introduced by Stickley as early as 1904, changes to the form over time allow us to date this example more narrowly. In 1907, according to "The Descriptive Price List of Craftsman Furniture," the paneled sides originally featured on this model were replaced with a solid board. While the carcass of the case is essentially the same as the standard version Stickley produced, the shaped lower apron distinguishes the chests of drawers made for the Girls' Bedroom in the Log House.
