Description
Made for the short-lived Craftsman Restaurant atop Stickley's Craftsman Building in Manhattan, this tray descended in the family and was likely at Craftsman Farms. While the company made both plated and sterling wares, the objects produced for The Craftsman Restaurant are exclusively plated, suggesting that while Stickley wanted the elegant appearance of silver, the practical concerns of price helped dictate these choices.
