Description
In mid-1901 Stickley released "Chips from the Workshop of the United Crafts," an expanded version of his previous catalog (Chips from the Workshop of Gustave Stickley) that featured a price list of more than eighty available offerings. While the text in both catalogs is identical, the expanded version illustrated more items on each page and included (in some iterations) an up-to-date price list.
In some ways the catalog pointed forward and backward, the expansion marked the most complete record of Stickley's furniture, while the images pasted into the catalog are reminiscent of a similar treatment found in New Furniture from the Workshop of Gustave Stickley. The catalog also marks one of the first times the name United Crafts was used to represent the various departments in Stickley's factory.
A copy of this catalog held by Winterthur Library has a price list dated June 25, 1901.
