Open Houses from 10:30 am through 1:30 pm:

Mark your calendar for Member Day on October 5th so that you can visit three unique locations across Craftsman Farms.

Find delight in exploring the restored kitchen and view new acquisitions at the Log House, experience an inside look of the North Cottage, then select the perfect gift to take home with you at The Craftsman Shop in the rebuilt Annex Visitor Pavilion!

Open House at the Log House

Members will be invited to enjoy the Log House’s interiors at their own pace. See its restored Kitchen, the newly furnished and interpreted Log House Porch, and the original Dining Room settles, which have recently returned to the Log House.

Open House in the Annex Visitor Pavilion

Explore the new Annex Visitor Pavilion, the home of The Craftsman Shop, which will be stocked with both new and long-beloved customer favorites. On Member Day, the Shop will feature local artisan and textile craftsman Erika Hewston (at right), who will demonstrate handweaving techniques and offer Members a hands-on opportunity to create a 35th Anniversary collaborative piece of art on the loom.

Activities at the Education Center from
12:00 pm through 2:00 pm:

Book signing

Special guest Ray Stubblebine, former Trustee, current Advisory Council member, and supporter of the museum for its entire 35 years, will sign copies of his new book MORE Stickley’s Craftsman Homes.

Eighteen years after publishing his seminal work, Stickley’s Craftsman Homes (2006), author and photographer Ray Stubblebine has published a companion volume supplementing and enhancing that work, including plans, photos, and information about a number of Craftsman houses located since 2006.

*Limited quantities available – make sure to purchase your copy with your Member Day ticket.

Faux Roadshow

Do you have a favorite small item in your Arts and Crafts collection that you’d like to know more about? Our “Faux Roadshow” will offer Members the services of Jonathan Clancy, the museum’s Director of Collections and Preservation, to help identify your object and offer his insights to enhance your understanding of its place in the history of decorative arts.*

*Faux Roadshow is information-only and information is not guaranteed. Objects will not be appraised. The museum is not responsible for the safety or security of items brought to the Faux Roadshow.

Plein Air Painting Demonstration

In partnership with the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, NJ, Member Day will include a demonstration by a small group of plein air painters, who will set up in various locations around the Craftsman Farms campus.

Lunch from Pie Oh My Handcrafted Pizza Food Truck

Enjoy the specialty pizzas and Italian ice of Pie Oh My Handcrafted Pizza! We feasted on their tasty pies during last year’s Member Day, and liked them so much, we invited them back!
