1926 Legacy Panel Vase

$128.00

Rookwood Heritage Vase, mold number 2932, is a design by Rookwood’s Master Artist, Kitaro Shirayamadani.

Originally offered in 1926, this tri-panel vase is new again with unique glaze offerings.

Horizon, gives hints of an ever-changing horizon, as if swept by curtains of Spring rain descending from white clouds. The Spark glaze yields random gold crystals in the clouds while the interaction with the blue sky yields curtains of white and lavender micro-crystals. Each is fresh, exciting, and as random as a Spring shower.

North Woods, gives hints to the beautiful earthy tones that can be found in the forest. The top is dappled with unique and randomized crystals that are reminiscint of glints of sunlight. These bursts of irridescence way to blended organic tones that recollect the earth and sky. Each vase is fresh, exciting, and as random as the trees in the forest.

Rookwood’s founder Maria Longworth Nichols Storer made history on Thanksgiving Day in 1880, with Rookwood becoming the first large manufacturing enterprise founded and owned by a woman in the United States. Today, Rookwood continues to build upon its rich heritage and Maria’s vision through their continued dedication to crafting some of the highest quality Art Pottery and Architectural Tile handmade in the United States.
