This deceptively simple little bee was a bit of a perplexing design. Nawal Motawi spent many hours getting these bees’ wings and stripes to merge with the border just right.

Every Motawi tile is made by hand and with heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Each tile is handmade so there maybe slight variations in each form, as well as in the glaze, which makes each item unique! Additionally, frame woodgrain and stain opacity varies.
