The Grand New Frond Vase is a large version and a playful companion to the popular New Frond Vase from Ephraim‘s 2016 Studio Collection. Like the original design, this vase celebrates spring’s earliest arrival—the fiddlehead—on a structured and traditional Arts and Crafts form – inspired by the historic and iconic Grueby Faience Pottery’s fern-handled vases – circa 1910.

This vase is thrown, sculpted & glazed by hand. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. Because Ephraim leans away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique. Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to pottery. Please expect and embrace the variation inherent in their process.
