Holiday Open House

Slow down and treat yourself to the sights, sounds and smells of the season at our Holiday Open House! Join us as we suspend tours and welcome visitors to stroll the Log House at their own pace.
While celebrating the season, the Holiday Open House is also meant to provide respite during a hectic time of the year. Spotlight talks given throughout the day by our volunteer docents will highlight aspects of the Stickley-era holiday traditions, celebrations and decor, while visitors are invited to make new holiday memories with friends and family.
Joining us on Saturday, December 7th is jewelry artisan, Sheila Fernekes. Fernekes creates contemporary art jewelry using ancient Native American and African bead weaving techniques. She weaves and layers each bead one at a time to achieve the interplay of color, pattern and texture that has become her trademark. She uses the very best beads, metals, gemstones and materials, and spends the extra time it takes to assure that each piece is a work of art that is a joy to wear, gift and own. We are thrilled to have Sheila with us December 6th and 7th to demonstrate her techniques and share her artistic process with our guests.
Plan to spend some time on a stroll through our grounds, and visiting our warm and welcoming Holiday Shop at Craftsman Farms, where you can unwind, relax, and recapture the joy of the holiday season choosing a simple treasure for yourself or someone you love.

Important Message for the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms Community:
Dear Friends, Earlier this week, a ransomware attack was launched on the museum's office computer system. In a desire to be transparent, we are making you aware of this attack, which has devastated our administrative record-keeping. While this attack encrypted our office computers, servers, and back-ups, the nature of the information stored on those systems limits the potential exposure of sensitive information. In particular, donors should be aware that the museum does not store Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as credit card numbers, on its office computer system or on any data storage device...
